David & Emilia

Some couples, some people, are just so genuine and loving that you can see and feel it. I find it to be such an honor and a pleasure to document the wedding day of such a couple. As the photographer, you get to be a part of the entire day and see more of the bride and groom than most people. You are right there for every moment, and you get to make the memories tangible and share them with the couple and their family and friends. These are some of the things I love most about photographing weddings.

When I first met Emilia, I knew that I liked her. As we talked about her and her fiance David's story and upcoming wedding, the more and more it just felt like fate for us to work together. Even her being referred to me by a mutual friend was a bit too perfect to just be chance... I am truly grateful that I had the opportunity and honor of photographing Emilia & David's wedding day.

I could go on and on about my love and appreciation for this couple, but suffice it to say that I have the utmost respect and admiration for the amazing people that they are and the love that they exude and share with those around them. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking now. :)

The ladies started getting ready at Emilia's place and then rushed over to the church to put on the finishing touches (and the wedding dress)! Emilia drove and I swear we must have made it across town in record time! Girl can DRIVE! ;)

The ceremony was held at St. Matthews Cathedral, a stunning cathedral that happened to provide us with amazing light for most of the ceremony.

We had limited time after the ceremony to take some family portraits inside the cathedral. Patrick took the lead on most of the group shots and of course, rocked it! After those, I wandered around the area with the bride and groom to take some portraits outside before taking an Uber to the reception venue, the stunning and swanky W Washington DC hotel.
