President Obama Visits 1776

On July 3, 2014, President Barack Obama visited 1776 to meet with entrepreneurs and give remarks on the latest jobs reports, the economy, and immigration reform. I had the honor of photographing the occasion for 1776. I may have used a period there but really it was all exclamation marks in my mind as I headed to 1776 Thursday morning and realized that I was actually photographing the President alongside press photographers (and of course all the cell phones and iPads as well...this day and age we live in...)

It's been incredible to watch 1776 really take off over the last year or so, providing such great resources and opportunities for startups. I mean, the President just toured the space and entrepreneurs got to pitch their ideas to him. How awesome is that?!

1776 is just getting started, and I cannot wait to see what's next. A special thank you to 1776 and the White House staff for letting me document this exciting visit and kicking off the Fourth of July weekend in such fine fashion.
